I installed two of these coils in my garage on separate circuits. They are easy to install and make access to a power outlet very convenient to anyplace in the garage. The length of the rope is good for a two car garage. Access to multiple sources of energy, it is a great advantage when you have several tools to operate. I think these coils are fine for many things in a shop in the House, but the 16 wire may be a little on the light side for execution of power tools. Having a way to adjust how much cord hangs of the coil would be an improvement. The coils are mounted to the ceiling and I am able to reach the end, but just.

I have not quite taken wall in my garage so I bought this and it mounted to the ceiling with a point of additional sale not used by my garage door opener. He has made a huge improvement and is a perfect complement to the space. I use it all the time as a mini extension for the use of tools in the garage and even outside in the garden or in the aisle since it has enough reach. He comes out and locks easily and releases easily and winds back up every time without problem. I use since some years now, and I don’t know what I would be without it.
