I don’t know why I didn’t buy this sooner. It comes all put together and ready to use . It’s light,and very easy to roll. It also fit neatly beside the house. When you have an acre of grass to water the Easy Hose Reel Caddy is really easy. Thanks Great-GM

This product might work if your hose is always running, but if the hose happens to have a kink in it, or if the water is turned off at the nozzle, turning on the water leading to the reel blows out (literally!!) a black plastic connector that attaches the reel to the hose that leads to the water line. Two small screws hold the connector to the reel, so any build-up of pressure inside the reel leads to disaster.

It seemed a good idea at the time, but obviously not practical for anyone with decent water pressure if there is ANY chance that the hose might be blocked at some point past the hose reel.

I was going to replace my Ames Reel Caddy that was 8 years old with this one but I decided to keep my old one instead. The connector hose is very poor quality and was already kinked when it arrived. The first time I tried to use this unit it had an internal leak that was really bad. I decided to keep my old reel caddy that didn’t leak and return this one. Very poor quality!
