Very nice hose reel, does need to be held on to when rolling up hose though. Would be nice to have a place to put your foot and stabilize when reeling in hose. Recommend this product for the price.

It says it will hold up to 125 foot of hose. I have a 100 foot hose squished in it and just barely. Winding the hose in I almost broke the winding handle… it’s not all that well made. The 5 foot hose that connects to the hose bib has to be bent at the section that comes out of the box and then again where it comes up from the box to attach to the hose bib, so I’m afraid it’s not going to last long. The box itself is nice heavy plastic and should hold a lot of weight, if I wanted to put something on top of it. I think I’ll put this one in the back yard, where it will get less use and get a better one for the front yard.
UPDATE: After “trying” to use this crappy thing I’ve become less and less impressed with it. Because my hose is so squished in, it’s nearly impossible to pull the hose out. I have to stand at the box, with one foot holding the box while I pull HARD with both hands to get the hose out. Then it was so hard to try to get back in, I just left it out and let my gardeners do the work. I can see it is destroying my hose with all the hard bends in the hose where it connects to the reel, and the extension hose on the box is already beginning to leak where it’s bent going under the box and back up to the hose bib. This was really a bad investment and I’m sorry I wasted my money.

I like it, for the price… The only complaint is it isn’t heavy enough/ anchored. If you are pulling the hose out, it often does a faceplant and falls over. A piece of slate stone on top is my workaround
